so nice meeting the mole and his friends again!
not having seen them for such a long time,
i kind of forgot how great these little movies were.
now for sure i know why i loved them so much when i was little!
the art is gorgeouse and the voices are sweet and
well how the music part is done is just perfect.

Der kleine Maulwurf wurde 1957 vom Prager Zeichner Zdeněk Miler erschaffen, nachdem er über eine Figur nachgedacht hatte, mit der man das Thema der Flachsverarbeitung in einem Film umsetzen könnte und einen besonders Disney-fernen Charakter suchte - und dabei über einen Maulwurfshügel stolperte. Seit 1963 war er regelmäßig im tschechischen Fernsehen zu sehen. In insgesamt 80 Ländern der Erde wurde der kleine Maulwurf zum Erfolg. In Deutschland lief er zum Teil unter dem Namen „Pauli". Dieser Titel ist nur in der Videoedition bekannt und taucht in den Büchern zum Beispiel nicht auf. In der tschechischen Originalfassung heißt der Maulwurf „Krtek" und ist dort der Star des tschechischen Sandmännchens, dem Večerníček. Die besten Freunde des kleinen Maulwurfs sind der Hase, der Igel und die Maus.
